In a case with feedwater flow of 100 m³/h and dissolved oxygen content of 25 μg/L, controlling Acetone Oxime excess at 20 μg/L and calculating at 99.5% purity, only about 13.32 g of Acetone Oxime is needed per hour. Monthly consumption is less than 9 kg. By comparison, traditional hydrazine dosage is typically 4–5 times higher, meaning Acetone Oxime can significantly reduce chemical procurement, transportation, and storage costs.

After deoxygenation, Acetone Oxime decomposes into nitrogen and water, introducing no harmful by-products and not affecting water-steam system water quality. Its reducing effect on iron and copper oxides helps prevent metal tube overheating and corrosion damage caused by oxide deposits. It also has a certain cleaning effect on existing copper corrosion products on equipment walls. These characteristics help extend boiler chemical cleaning intervals, reduce unplanned shutdowns, and lower full-lifecycle O&M costs.
