EDTMPS Main Roles and Functions

Anti-scaling: EDTMPS has a h3 anti-scaling function, especially in high hardness water systems. It can combine with metal ions such as calcium ions (Ca²⁺) and magnesium ions (Mg²⁺) in the water to form a stable complex, thus inhibiting the reaction of these ions with carbonate, phosphate and other components and preventing the deposition of scale.

Corrosion inhibition: EDTMPS is used as a corrosion inhibitor in water treatment, which can combine with metal ions on the metal surface to form a protective film and prevent the metal from corrosion. This makes it widely used in cooling water, boiler water and other systems.

Chelating agent: EDTMPS is able to form stable chelates with metal ions (such as calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.), reducing the damage of metal ions to equipment and systems. The chelating ability of EDTMPS gives it excellent performance in the treatment of hard water, sewage and wastewater during industrial water treatment.

Anti-scaling effect: It prevents the deposition of scaling substances on the surface of pipes and equipment, ensuring the smooth flow of water treatment equipment and pipes, thus reducing maintenance costs.
